Meeting with the Dead

"I can always think of questions." I said grabbing my ice cream and following after. "So what's it like for those you suck into your void? Can they live in it?" I asked quite curious about it.

"I consume their flesh and bones but their souls power me....I also gain their memories...it is my choice if they need to live or...perish"

"But are they still aware of what's going on when they're in the void or not?" I asked as we walked down the street. The rain had picked up again but I didn't really care. And as long as you were willing to answer I had a lot of questions.

"Let's...just say...they are gone..."

"So if someone were to climb into your armor, are they automatically absorbed or is it only by your will?" I asked finishing up my ice cream. "And what does your dragon form look like? Can I ever see it?"

"by my will....if anything they will be in a suit of armor...nothing more...my dragon is very powerful but I cannot....release it here....there is no need to see it now..."

"So if somebody is in your armor, who would have control of the motion. You or them? Does it feel weird having someone inside you?" I asked looking closely at the armor.

"I'm in control. Think of it as a prison"

"Mind if I ask one more question? More of a request or favor really." I said covering my head with my wings again as the rain began to pour down.

I stop to look at her "what is it Ceres?...something bothering you?"

"Well since we are likely to end up on opposite sides with this Necros fellow, unless Nartik decides I choose otherwise, then if all looks to be lost on my side destroy me. And i mean completely obliterate my body. A simple request in my opinion. I would rather be able to go through Kresh and return to his flesh than be raised as a dead puppet." I said grimly staring up at him.

"......aren't you a dark little one?" I gave a small laugh. Such request can be done. "I see......" I walk ahead and looked up "then it...shall be so"

"You, Sir Militis as I understand your name is," I said, approaching from behind, "I'd request a word. Margurka has said you spent some time with our foe."

"Just because I'm a dark dragon doesn't mean I'm going to follow every 'evil' dragon who comes up with a plan to take over the universe." I said picking up my pace to keep up. "I already follow a group and I've been told to stay out if possible. Unless this Necros fellow seems like he really can prove a problem for Nartik."  I went through my backpack until I found the bottle if souls Militis had given me. "So what's the range for this thing? Will it still work?" I saw Rodrium and sighed. "Never mind. I suppose I'll find out one way or another. I'll leave you two to talk." I turned around and headed back down the street tossing the bottle in the air a few times before putting it away.

"Wait...Ceres" I turn to the boy "what do you want?"

I stopped in my tracks as Militis requested and stayed put, figuring Rodrium wanted to speak to Militis privately. I created a floating psychic disk and sat down in it to wait.

"I am seeking information," I said, noting the jar and Ceres' words, I tucked the information to the back of my head, "you were with Necros for an extended period of time. Thus I seek any information you learned while with him, anything you saw noteworthy of a dragon without familiarity in the darkness is what I ask to hear about."

"I was with Necros....for only two days....I do not know you for you to...ask for information.
.from me....I have nothing for you boy" I crossed my arms as my sword appeared at my side

"I am Rodriun Tyberius, a medical scientist for the Colagartrune Empire. I am willing to trade information on how to restore your family, if you would tell me of where Necros took you," I responded, unmoved by the display.

"Restore my family?...bah...not interested....I already know they're fine...." I walk towards Ceres

"So be it," I answered, but I did not leave, instead I turned towards Ceres to gain her attention from the sphere.

I thought 'wait....how does he know...about my family?....I never met this boy.....he must be watched' "Ceres is that all you need from me?"

"I always have questions if you're willing to answer them. Just let me know when you want me to shut up." I said with a shrug. "Or if I ask something you'd rather not talk about let me know so I can steer clear of that subject." I pulled out the bottle of souls again and held it out slightly as I asked, "What's the range of this?"

"Pardon my intrusion," I said, "I wished to ask you a brief question girl, but before that, may I have your name so that I would not have to be so rude as to simply refer to you by a gender?"

"Ceres Githinji." I said with a polite nod. "And you are Rodrium Margurka's brother correct?"
