A New Royal Proposal

"I don't need anything else." I said as we got to the beach the waters were glowing shades of blue and purple and pink. I gripped his hand tighter and felt the cold breeze pass us. "Its pretty right? One of my favorite places on Amets." I said looking at him and fixed my bangs from the wind

I released my hand from Athemise's to step into the wind, raising my arms, and lifting my head towards it, my cape billowing behind me. I took a deep breath enjoying the scents, and the breeze.

I smiled and laughed at how he was enjoying the beach. I closed my eyes for a second and smelled the ocean and smiled feeling relaxed. I opened my eyes still watching him and laughing

I smiled, whimsical in the ocean's air, "you have exquisite taste," I finally said.

I began howling and yelping at the moon, laughing joyously, hopping and bounding on the rocks, around Athemise to an inaudible beat.  I grabbed her hands, swinging her arms side to side while spinning her to keep facing me as I hopped around, yelling excitedly.

"You hear that Athey?  That's the sound!  That's the sound!  The moon is ours Athey!  The moon is ours! Awoo!"

I continued laughing as he swung me around and I smiled as I stared at him, "You're something you know that?" I said putting my arms around him and kissed him softly.

I laughed between the kisses I continued to peck at Athemise, chuckling, breathing heavily from my leaping about.

"This, this is all ours," I smiled, leaning in to look her in the eyes, before turning her attention to the ocean, "all of it. It's ours. Our future starts tomorrow. Everything starts tomorrow, and the moon knows it. It shines for us; this moon is ours."

I looked back to the new moon in the sky, a lightless patch of starless sky. A fresh start. A clean slate. Fate new what this day held; the promise of future, and delivered us our confirmation.

I smiled turning red and looked up at the moon, "It will always be ours. Our future will be a great one." I kissed him again, "When we return tomorrow,.promise you'll visit me when I have to go back to Tempore." I hugged him tightly.

"I wouldn't have you plan our wedding alone," I smiled, continuing to talk between kisses against her neck, "just please finish there soon. Taking rule will be unbearable without you."

I smiled and laughed, "Good, and that tickles." I said to him and let him go, grabbing his hand so we can continue walking.

I followed along with Athemise, hand in hand, "what was it like growing up for you here?"

"Alone. My parents favored Sapphire but it was nice. People here are kind. I explored a lot of places here snuck into the forest, which was where I did my training. I think if my parents weren't jealous they'd be nicer." I said as I jumped on a rock and walked until I slipped and fell on the ground dragging him with me. I started to laugh not wanting to get up. "Did that hurt?"

"I've had an axe in my gut," I grinned expectantly, "it's going to take a lot worse to pain me."

My free hand travelled down Athemise's side, veins beginning to course black, as I closed my eyes taking in her scent like a drug. I kissed her collar, before leaping away, holding my head and looking towards the stars; taking deep breaths as I waited for my pulse to slow.

I got the chills when that happened and heart was beating fast. I turned to looked at him and smiled, "Its ok. I'll be fine." I said stroking his hair and kissed him softly

"It was important to you we wait though, and you still haven't told Silver," I held my eyes shut, keeping my arms where they rested.

"Just by going here I already lost him. When I return, well make sure it's over, because he is probably thinking it is." I said quietly and layed next to him, "I think I'm falling for you." I got more quiet when I said that And looked at him.

My veins boldened black, and writhing patterns began to swirl in them, like tattoos. They pulsed like a heartbeat as I turned to look to Athemise. My glowing eyes darting around her face, I was silent for a long while.

Finally I came up with the proper words for response, "maybe you're not a goddess, who's to say? But to me, you are all that one needs to be, to be venerated as one would."

I rolled over to her, kissing her softly first, then vigorous with a flame. The stars flurried as we unfurled there, exposed for each other, vulnerable; surrendering to each others' bloom. Then we laid still, until the sun peered upon us, over the roaring sea.

Justice cleared her throat loudly, but upon receiving no response from the sleeping lovers, she kicked Tavarius; hard. His yelp enough to wake them both.

"Her majesty should dress. The time to return is nearly upon us. Tavarius, get some damn clothes on," she growled, before slinking off to allow the two privacy.

I woke up when Justice kicked him and walked away. "Morning," I said kissing his cheek, "We should get back to dress into other clothes and pack to go back home." I said putting on my dress and sat up smiling. "You ready to go back?" I asked him.

"Mmm..." I hummed affectionately, nuzzling her as I woke, "not especially. But I suppose we should..."

I kissed up her arm, "how much time do you suppose we have?"

"About an hour to make sure everything is ready. Probably two hours tops. Why?" I asked him smiling as I turned to hug him.

I looked at her with an almost competitive gaze, "almost enough time for one more round."

I gave a sharp toothed smile, nipping towards her playfully, "bet we can do it."

"I bet so but we have to get going. The queen hates tardiness." I said kissing his cheek and got up putting on my shoes. I stuck out my hand to help him get up, "Get up lazy head." I laughed

I groaned, stepping from my cape as it had draped us with Athemise's assistance, and hastily into my clothes once more.

"So, luggage to carriage then?"

I laughed at him and nodded, "Yes." I said as I grabbed his hand and walked back to the house. "I don't want to go back but we have to." I said sadly

As we gathered our things and left to the lighthouse, I found myself with a devilish idea upon reaching the carriage. I looked at Athemise mischievously, knowing she'd caught my thought.
