Kaze stayed silent for awhile until he spoke again. "Hello Ella..my last quest actually caused me some changes within myself. It made me lose my memories and it created an alternate personality of me." He said looking at paper and then back at Ella as he sees Ella staring at someone but he pays no mind to it. "It's not too bad though...I learned some new magic and stuff over there. Just debating if it will work in this world." Kaze said in light tone as he showed his palm as a fire rose and made a flaming figure.

"Is this new personality good, bad or crazy?" I ask with humor. I shifted my feet and my chakrams jingled at my side as they bounced off each other. "Most of these jobs look to be escort jobs. And not good paying ones at that." I sighed. I gave a wave to Kaze and made my way to the bar. "Tequila. Make it a triple." I leaned against the bar, one knee bent as my ass stuck out slightly from leaning. I put my head in one hand and glanced at the fire once more.

Kaze followed Ella towards the bar and laughed a bit. " He's in between but mostly he's been good. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to make that flaming figure do stuff." Kaze said as he looked at the bartender as he handed him a paper. "Can you make this barkeep? It's call Firebrand. If not I'll have some vodka." He said to the bartender. After he said he wanted to say, the flaming figure walks on the bar table and waves it's arm to Ella greeting her a hello. "It's been awhile since we last met. How many years was it? I lost count." Kaze said.

Sveinn was still smoking his pipe and staring at the fire, however he was listening keenly to every word. In fact he was working up the courage to speak and finally did so, though not directly. "And bar tender, a drink for the lovely lady over there." He said and gave her a rougish smile that showed him to be a lot more confident than he felt. "Ella, you are a sight for sore eyes. Not even the fabled treasures of Molduva could compare to your beauty." Oh he had fucked that up. He knew the storm was coming.

I chuckled and waved a finger at the small fire figure. I thanked the bartender for the Tequila before shooting it back. The burn that followed was welcomed. I tensed as the voice I only heard coming from my dreams came from behind me. I gulped and turned around. It was him. "Sveinn." I smiled but there was no warmth. My body began to hum. I looked up at his handsome face and wanted to forget my anger at the smile he gave me. But, I held my ground as small arcs of lightning came off my body. I noticed some patrons started to back away. "Oh, darling how I've longed to see your face again." I paused to let him think everything was fine, "Just so I can punch it!" I shouted at him. "What the hell! After the war you disappeared! And you come back now thinking what? That I sat around and waited for you?" I crossed my arms under my chest. This must look ridiculous a girl that's not even 5'5 shouting at a man that is well over 6" tall and lecturing him like a wife whose husband came home late after drinking with his friends. I tapped my foot at him. I had to keep my anger up but looking at the face I longed to see finally in front of me made it hard. I tried not to show it.

Kaze saw Ella lightning arcs but paid it no mind as he turned to look at the new guy talking with Ella. He didn't speak a word or dare to intrude in the conversation. He just only wanted to observe as his flaming figure walked up onto Kaze shoulder and sat down. In the meanwhile Kaze made a journal appeared out of thin air and started writing stuff in it. The journal looked ragged and pristine but yet had a few burns on the pages.

The psychic's smile faded to a look of misery and he took a few nervous hits from his pipe. "No Ella, of course I don't expect that you waited for me. In fact I came back expecting to find you in the arms of another man who deserves you a lot more than I ever did.... someone who would give you the love and attention you deserved." He held up his hands in an effort to show that he wasn't looking for a fight but did put up a light forcefield around himself when lightning began to strike. "I had to leave Ella. Anyways you wanted me to go to right? After all that with Kingsley? I wasn't exactly welcomed here anymore. I couldn't bare to face you... I thought it would be better for me to leave." He was clearly unhappy at things but kept his voice calm, if not a little pleading.

"You idiot." I sighed. It was so hard to stay mad at him. And when his face fell... my lightning subsided. "I didn't want you to go. The whole thing was Kingsley... Yes I was distrustful of him but not of you." My fisted were slowly unclenching. "I love you." I whisper so softly I wasn't even sure I said it out loud. "Look, Sveinn, I... I never...Never..." I found it hard to get the words out.

Kaze didn't want to ruin the moment between the two as he continued to write in his journal. Feeling a slight headache he still continued to write down that happened during the present in his life. He still listened to the conversation but was quietly looking at his journal to keep writing more.

"I... I didn't know." He said looking even more miserable than he had before. His pipe was out but he had not seemed to have noticed, still puffing on it out of habit as he uncomfortably let down the shield. "I guess I was being my usual idiot self huh? Always jumping to conclusions and anger. But I've changed Ella, really. I'm not the same guy I used to be." Sveinn wanted to walk up to her but thought better of it. Afterall, she had every right to be mad at him and he didn't fancy getting electrocuted. "Anyways, it was probably for the best. I was a real asshole to you. I let my pride and who constantlt get in the way of us and I lashed out a lot towards you unreservedly. I didn't deserve you, and you deserved someone much better than me." He knew he had hurt her but he hated how he used to be. He was going down a dark path and was glad to be rid of that.

"Yeah, you were being an idiot again." I whispered looking down. I had realized years ago why I couldn't stay away from Sveinn, it was something that not all of our kind had but when it happened it was a beautiful thing. "And I never... I never moved on." I said embarrassed, "How could anyone be better for me than my..." I trailed off, 'Mate' I thought finishing the sentence.

"Probably my mate honestly. She's something alright." I blurted out loud while still writing my journal. Kaze took a few moments to control himself and put his journal away as it disappeared into flames. "Sorry sorry. My alternate personality had to ruin the mood between you two." Kaze said apologizing.

The psychic went red and quickly stood up. "Ella don't be rash. We haven't seen eachother in years! You don't know that." He said gruffly. "Besides, that's a load of hogwash. If I'm getting with someone it's going to be because I love them not because 'destiny' tells me I'm supposed to be mates."

"Oh? No?" I tried not to let the hurt I felt show. "You really think that. Mates don't happen every often in our kind. And it's not a destiny thing! It's not divine intervention either. Mating is what happens when any other dragon or partner either tries to have will never work. Mating is when two souls are perfectly matched for each other." A sharp pain bloomed in the middle of my chest, and I rubbed hard at the spot with the heel of my hand. "And when one denies the mating bond it can bring physical pain and even death to one or both partners. I've tried for years to have another partner either in bed or in life and it doesn't do anything for me." My face was flush in memory of the humiliation I felt during those times. "Mates are rare and sacred. The pull to be close to ones mate can either be subtle and so strong it can bring one to their knees." Even as I spoke the pull to touch him and make him understand brought pin pricks of tears to the corners of my eyes, I blinked them away. Thinking of all our encounters and how we each did things that we normally wouldn't do, how we always looked for each other - unintentionally or not, how when we finally kissed it made my element react in such a way. I loved the man in front of me for years and being without him for so long after finally having him, brought me in such agony that in the beginning I hardly ever left me home. I reached out my hand to grab his but then retracted as the prick of pain in my chest sharpened. I rubbed at the spot a little harder to soothe it. "Fuck" I cursed quietly.

Kaze stayed quiet as he wrote in his journal thinking on how to respond but he then quickly looked at the job list and wrote down accepted on the job board and left the name Sezak WarDragon on the paper. "Hello psychic dragon. I don't think I properly introduced myself and probably same to Ella as well." Kaze said randomly.
