A New Royal Proposal

As Silver and I arrived at the castle, all the guards and servants started welcoming us, of course with a strange look on why I brought a guy home. "You excited to meet my parents?" I joked a bit. I came for a meeting that would lead me to be the queen. "Sorry I brought you here. I really didn't want to go alone and it would be a great opportunity to meet the parents." I said as I held his hand.

I squeezed her hand reassuringly and said, "Of course I'm excited. Thank you very much for inviting me." I looked back at the guards and servants cooly as we passed, dismissing their glances.

I saw my parents and ran to them dragging Silver. "Athemise, my dear, glad you're home." My father said to me. My mom looked at me and smiled kissing my cheek. "And who is this young boy?" she said shaking his hand. "Oh he's Silver, my boyfriend." I said happily as they looked shocked and quite concern but played it to cool. "Nice to meet you, Silver. I hope she isn't a hassle." My mother said nicely.

I bowed gallantly to the king and queen as I said, "It is an honor to meet you as well your majesty." I looked up at Athemise as I smirked, "She isn't TOO much of a hassle."

I nudged his shoulder playfully when he said that and smiled. "Well then. Let me show you to your guest room Silver. We have dinner at 7. Formal attire please. Once you guys can look around when done unpacking." My mom said to us.

I straightened up and followed after your mother, uncertain if holding your hand would be out of bounds in front of your parents.

"Nervous?" I asked him. I became uncertain to hold his hand as well. My parents had a thing to intimidate people. As we walked, we arrived to my room. I looked at Silver and smiled, "I'll drop by your room to see if you're ready to go!" I said to him and opened my door.

"Of course I'm nervous." I chuckled as I took off my coat. "But I'm happy to meet them."

I smiled and walked in my room. Everything was just the way I left it. The dresser was still a mess with a bunch of notes. Bed was nice made, due to the servants. I opened the door to my balcony and breathed in the air. The prime skies were kinda gloomy, "It's going to rain again. Hope there's no thunder." I said to myself.

My parents watched me as I walked in and their smile disappeared, well my mom's did. They kept walking to show Silver to his room, "We hope you like it here. It's very Victorian as you can see. Might rain tonight. Oh and since you are a fire dragon don't burn anything" my father said to his resting a hand on his shoulder to calm down. "There is a surprise today. I hope you two like it." my mom said as they stopped in front of his room. They looked at the clock and saw it was five thirty, "If you don't any formal stuff to wear we have some outfits in the the closet of all sizes. Be ready by 7. Someone will escort you to meet Athey." The Queen said to him.

I nodded curtly and said, "I will." I closed the door and flopped down on the bed with a sigh. "This is going to be uncomfortable." I muttered under my breath.

I snapped out of it and walked to my closet to pick out a dress. I picked out a red dress and some shoes for the dinner. I opened my door and walked to Silver's room knocking on.his door.

I got up from the bed and opened the door. I was relieved to see that it was Athemise. "Hey there Athey. How yah holding up?"

"Meh,want to check out the castle?" I asked him

"If you think your parents would be okay with it." I said pulling my jacket back on.

"I don't know but let's just do so." I said to him as he put on his jacket.

"They don't approve of me you know." I commented as I opened the door for her. "It's pretty easy to see. Perhaps saying we were together right away was an unwise move?"

"I know but we had to tell them sooner I mean what's the worst that can happen?" I said to him as we walked down the halls.

"....... do you really want me to answer that?" I mused as I held the door open for her. It was only 5 so we had a couple hours to kill.

As we walked down the halls, we saw pportraits of my family tree, "All the royals of the family. Generations of what my people say that we're from our God, Amets. Well they called him God because of his ancient power, dreams." I said looking and pointing at the paintings. "One day... One day I'll be on here." I sighed, "All I ever wanted was to be queen. I can help people. Free people. Do anything for my people."

I studied the pictures as we walked down and said, "Tell me more about this Amets. I enjoy learning about other's cultures."

"Well they said Amets was God like due to his powers. Apparently he had a time dragon help him create this planet. His wife, Adrastia, was another dragon who happened to be a clairvoyant and also can control dreams. People say I'm like a reincarnation of her, Well at least they think that." I said as we stopped by a picture of Amets and Adrastia.

I stared at the picture and then looked up at you. "The resemblance is quite uncanny." I murmured before turning away from the portrait. "It would sort of explain your dream visions I guess."

"That's what I think." I said with a smile on my face and grabbed his hand and ran to the library.

I followed behind with a smile. As we reached the library I gazed around quite impressed. "Wow, it's huge."

"I know!" I said excitedly. "I spent my days here reading about anything that interested me, like earth and other planets. They have this thing called a beach? I always wanted to see the ocean and go in it. Tropical weather sounds so nice," I said as I roamed around the place forgetting what time it was, which was six thirty now.
